Meet our sustainable veg supplier, Barfoots

Barfoots is a family business who have been farming vegetables since 1976. Their philosophy has not changed since…look after the land as if you want to farm forever. Barfoots have pioneered sustainable farming methods for decades. They’ve been Net Zero since 2010 within their manufacturing operation, with anaerobic digesters converting their veggie waste to electricity for them and the national grid. They’re constantly striving to reduce their footprint and are on track to be Net Zero on the farm too by 2025. Founder, Peter Barfoot, has even been awarded a CBE for services to sustainable farming. Barfoots farm in West Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight…which provides a unique growing climate for delicious vegetables of the highest quality. We’re proud to have Barfoots supply us with butternut squash, baby pumpkin, sweet potato and CauliShoots (a new variety of cauliflower with sweet nutty curds on succulent stems).
